At Lyons Davidson, we have expertise in dealing with property transactions for pension trustee clients.

Self Invested Personal Pensions

The work we deal with on a day to day basis generally involves the sale, purchase and lease of commercial properties that are held in Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs).  The type of corporate pension trustee that we represent require advice at every stage of a transaction, which is both commercial and compliant with complex pension legislation.

Lease renewals

Like our other commercial clients, our pension trustee clients require advice throughout the life-cycle of the properties that are held within the SIPPs, for example in relation to consents, licences and lease renewals.

Breach of covenant

Our dispute resolution team are also regularly instructed to take enforcement action against tenants of those properties held in SIPPs for non-payment of rent or breach of covenant. They also provide general support and advice to our pension clients from a litigation perspective, together with specialist advice in connection with any contractual disputes, insolvency and contentious property issues that arise.
