Information about costs in personal injury road traffic accident claims

The tables below set out what costs apply to your claim dependent on the value and stage at which it settles. If we have told you that a success fee applies, then this will be in addition to the fees below. Expenses will also be paid in addition. Category B – fixed recoverable costs

If your claim proceeds to a final hearing, in addition to the fees above,  there is a fee for the advocate or barrister to attend the hearing.

Category C – hourly rates

Where the value of your claim for damages is over £25,000 or it is allocated to the multi-track, or in other circumstances (e.g. you beat your own offer), costs are charged at an hourly rate, based on the experience of the case handler, as set out below. The hourly rate may change depending on who is dealing with your case. However, we will notify you of this in advance and these rates may vary based on on the value and complexity of your claim. All of our fees will be charged with VAT in addition.
