Helen studied European Law and Languages at the University of the West of England and Université d’Angers before completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Bristol and qualifying as a solicitor in 1999.
She gained experience at Stones Solicitors in Exeter of both Motor and Non-motor Personal claims; including slips and trips, employer’s and public liability matters, ski-related litigation and holiday and travel claims arising outside the UK.
Upon joining Lyon’s Davidson, Helen specialised in road traffic accident Claimant work. She headed up a team specialising in Motor Insurers’ Bureau claims involving foreign, Untraced and uninsured drivers and credit hire. She has set up and managed third party intervention schemes for a number of insurers and developed protocols to reduce friction in the claims process. She has experience managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Helen is a Partner and the Divisional manager for the Personal Injury division which brings together the broad injury specialists across the business. She is responsible for operations and strategy across the PI and Legal services teams which incorporates Motor and non-motor, Claimant and Defendant, Counterclaims and our Legal services contact teams. She applies her extensive experience of Personal Injury work to improving work processes and efficiencies for the benefit of our clients.
