David is a partner and Employment Law Group Leader. He joined Lyons Davidson in 2010 and now manages our teams of employment lawyers in Bristol and Leeds. He is responsible for the Employment Group’s performance, as well as supervising a number of case handlers. David enjoys sharing his tactical nous and strategic approach with the group.
David’s clients include universities, academy trusts and GP groups. He advises employers and employees on a range of issues relating to the employment relationship, including HR and disciplinary issues, settlement agreements, discrimination and TUPE transfers. He has extensive experience of handling complex Employment Tribunal claims and has specialised in employment law since 2005. David has recently acted on behalf of a number of schools and colleges facing multiple allegations of discrimination and detriment related to whistleblowing.
David has delivered employment law training to clients nationally, including leading seminars on social media issues at work and redundancy processes. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and regular contributor to Daniel Barnett’s employment law blog.
