On Thursday, 8 November, members of Lyons Davidson’s Fatal, Catastrophic Injury and Head Injury teams are attending a conference on Police Family Liaison Following Road Death and Serious Injury in Birmingham.

The conference is organised by Brake, the road safety charity and sponsored by Lyons Davidson, along with Irwin Mitchell and Slater & Gordon.

The keynote speech is being delivered by Commander Stuart Cundy of the Metropolitan Police and topics addressed include a case study of the FLO Awards Outstanding Officer Achievement Award, Pathways and Partnerships, the work of Staffordshire & West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit’s Family Liaison Team and trauma care. The conference closing statement is being delivered by Lyons Davidson’s Catastrophic Injury partner, Emma Saville.

We will publish an overview of the conference in the coming days. For more information on any of the issues raised in this article or on catastrophic injury claims in general, contact Emma Saville by emailing [email protected] or calling 0117 904 5727.
