    Tamara Hasson

Private Client Group Leader and Partner

Tamara is a Partner and the Private Client Group Leader. She specialises in all aspects of Private Client work from complex and high-value inheritance disputes to simple wills and powers of attorney, together with her team of experienced lawyers.

Tamara increasingly focuses on all aspects of contentious probate and trustee disputes, including bringing and defending challenges over validity of wills, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and equitable actions such as constructive trust claims and claims in relation to mutual wills. She is also experienced in dealing with disputes between executors and trustees, and between beneficiaries and executors. She has a reputation for giving pragmatic and direct advice that looks at all aspects of a dispute, as well as being willing to explore creative solutions.

When dealing with non-contentious matters, Tamara has wide experience of dealing with complex estate planning, particularly relating to business owners and the agricultural sector, providing advice on tax mitigation and succession planning. She often deals with the administration of complex estates where negotiations with HMRC are required.

The Private Client Group provides advice on all issues relating to Deputyships, as well as Powers of Attorney and statutory wills for those without capacity to give will instructions. Tamara also acts in a personal capacity as a Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection to manage funds for patients of the Court of Protection who do not have the capacity to manage the funds themselves.

Tamara is a fully qualified member of both the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and, very unusually, has additionally qualified as a Solicitor-Advocate with Higher Audience Rights in both civil and criminal courts.
