LD trains Police on Forced Marriage Prevention and Legal Remedies

Iona Phillips, group leader for Advoca, the specialist child and domestic abuse law division of Lyons Davidson, presented further training sessions to senior police officers from across the South West at Avon and Somerset HQ in Portishead on 30 April.

Iona had been invited back following training she had given in September 2011, and has already been booked for a further date in July. Her training last month was entitled ‘Forced Marriages and Legal Remedies’.

Iona is also providing training sessions for the Bristol Safeguarding Board on 22 May and other dates later in the year.
