We advise a wide range of clients from public and private companies that frequently buy and sell businesses and companies, to owner-managed and family run businesses that have little or no experience of company acquisitions and disposals. This is the team’s core work.

We offer a comprehensive legal service. Partners and Associates are experienced in deal management and provide clear answers to complex challenges. Whatever problems arise during the course of a transaction (for example, problems involving pensions, employment, or property), we can give our clients the specialist advice they need to get the transaction completed. We also have access to competition law expertise, when necessary.

Company acquisitions can be a complicated and often highly sensitive matter, involving many lawyers and other advisers. Therefore, it is important that transactions are effectively project-managed to meet deadlines. Our Mergers and Acquisitions lawyers are used to working under the pressure of tight timescales as part of a team that includes clients’ own departments and external advisers.

We also have a highly experienced due diligence team dealing with legal investigations and enquiries as part of acquisition work.
