Lyons Davidson’s Whiplash 2012 Conference is taking place at M Shed a brand-new museum that tells the story of Bristol. The M-Shed is housed in a 1950s transit shed on an historic wharf.

By foot: M Shed is located on Bristol’s harbourside and is a 5/10 minute walk from the city centre and a 15-20 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station.
By car from M4 (London): Leave the M4 at junction 19 (M32). Follow the M32 into the city centre; at the end of Newfoundland Way, turn left at the lights for Temple Way. At the roundabout, take third exit onto Victoria Street, then left into Baldwin St, left into Marsh St and left again onto Broad Quay. Continue on to Wapping Rd.
By car from M4 (Second Severn Crossing): Leave the M4 at junction 22 and join the M49 to the M5 junction 18. At the junction, follow the signs for A4 Bristol. Take the A4 along the Portway and under Clifton Suspension Bridge. Follow signs for City Centre and take a slight right onto Merchants Rd and Avon Crescent. Take a slight right onto Cumberland Rd and at the roundabout, take the first exit onto Wapping Rd. Continue straight on to M Shed.
By rail: Bristol Temple Meads station is a 15-20 minute walk from M-Shed.
By public transport: Visit Travel Bristol or call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33 for current information on the bus routes that run near M Shed.
By ferry: From Temple Meads railway station and Hotwells to Prince Street Bridge. Every 40/50 minutes. The Bristol Ferry Boat Company website has timetables and fares.
Parking: Wapping Wharf car park offers reductions for those attending M Shed and there are parking spaces for Blue Badge holders.
There is also a drop-off and pick-up point for taxis at the Wapping Road entrance.
