Civil Litigation Department
The Lyons Davidson Civil Litigation Department was established in 1997, primarily to deal with a variety of cases referred to the firm by our Legal Expense Insurer clients. It has expanded from five staff in 1997 to over sixty five staff today. The majority of our cases are still referrals from our insurer clients, but we also deal with individuals, companies and businesses.
We deal with a wide and full range of general civil litigation, including consumer contract, building disputes, professional negligence, boundary and neighbour disputes and damage to property from tree roots, flooding, etc.
We have grown to a size where we have teams and lawyers specialising in different areas, all of which are listed to the left, along with main points of contact.
The requirements of each client and each case will often vary but in every case our primary aim is to settle clients’ disputes quickly and cost effectively. We are passionate advocates of the benefits of mediation but where needed have the skills and experience to achieve the best outcome for you at trial.
