Meruit Costs Department
Meruit Costs is the internal Costs Department of Lyons Davidson Solicitors. We deal with all aspects of costs disputes including the preparation of Bills of Costs, Schedules of Costs, Points of Dispute, Replies to Points of Dispute, negotiating settlements, solicitor/own client disputes, auditing, providing estimates and costs advocacy. As well as providing costs services to Lyons Davidson we receive instructions from other firms of solicitors and from insurance companies.
Meruit Costs consists of two offices. The Bristol office has 13 employees and deals predominantly with defending claims for costs. The New Malden office has 21 employees and deals predominantly with pursuing claims for costs. Of our 34 experienced employees, 16 are members of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen.
