Insurance Litigation
Bulk Handling
Our experience and knowledge, backed up with our technology services, provides us with the ability to deal with large scale projects, both in the areas of motor and property recovery.
The workflows provide an efficient route through from notification of claim to either settlement or early issue of proceedings, judgment and recovery.
This service gives the following benefits to your business:
- ability to reallocate recovery resource within your own business
- facility to assist in dealing with any backlogs
- increased collections in response to solicitor letters and proceedings
- improved claim lifecycle and recovery ratios
The service can be provided either in our offices, or, if sufficient volumes exist, by the establishment of an on-site team.
In the area of recoveries we are introducing innovative software solutions based on Filestream to ensure the ability to deal with large scale recoveries. The service includes:
Array based reporting
For onsite recoveries teams, allowing the ability to view summary data for the project, drill down to individual lists, query other data on the system and to analyse the data, including the ability to access individual files and documents. The system also allows you to apply online filters to the data and build your own reports by selecting different items from a data warehouse.
Batch recovery
On a number of projects we have taken a period of outstanding recovery files, loaded them into our system, assessed them and pursued them to recovery. This includes strictly defined procedures leading to the early preparation and issue of proceedings. Numbers involved in these projects range from 5,000 to 15,000. On line reports provide the ability to track the progress of the project.
Bulk issue
Our systems have been approved by the Court Service, allowing us to collect information from the Filestream file and transfer this to the Northampton Bulk Issue Centre. This provides quicker time to issue, avoids the delay of the production and transfer of post and reduces the cost of issuing proceedings.
Skippy
In insured damage files we have introduced the “Skippy” project, where large numbers of closed claims have been assessed for potential claims for impact, fire, escape of water malicious damage and negligence. Projects have included one review of over 55,000 claims.
