Lyons Davidson addresses Energy Industry Safety, Health and Environmental Management Conference 2012By Lyons Davidson’s EHS Department

Lyons Davidson’s head of Environment, Health and Safety, Richard Voke, will be addressing the Energy Industry’s Safety, Health and Environmental Management Conference on 3 May in London.

Richard will be providing the legal perspective on the impact of environmental or health and safety incidents on an organisation following a major incident resulting in fatality or major pollution. He will be part of a panel discussing emergency response, management, communication and regulator views around accidents and incidents occurring in the energy industry.

Sharing the platform on day one of the conference will be Judith Hackitt CBE, chair of the Health and Safety Executive, and Ed Mitchell, Director of Environment and Business for the Environment Agency. The event is hosted by UK Power Networks and will particularly explore the human factors influencing health, safety and environmental performance of companies.

The conference will take place at the Tower Guomen Hotel, Tower Bridge, London. For further information see the Energy Networks website.

Bristol and Beyond Asbestos Family Support Event on 2 May

The next Bristol and Beyond Asbestos Family Support event takes place at Filton College, Filton Avenue, Bristol, BS34 7AT on Wednesday, 2 May 2012. The group is meeting for coffee at 11.30am in the café, and then some of the students will be showing members the website and logo that has been designed for the group.  There is time for members to socialise after the meeting.
